​Buenas Organic Soft Serve was born from a childhood memory, a lifelong love of soft serve, and a desire to bring something honest back to ice cream.

I grew up in Mongolia, where soft serve wasn’t just a treat — it was the ice cream. And because Mongolia is a nation of nomads with free-range livestock, the milk we enjoyed was naturally pure, clean, and organic by nature. The soft serve I knew was simple, creamy, and made from milk that came from happy, stress-free cows. That taste stayed with me.

When I moved to the United States, I could never find anything quite like it. Ice cream here was often
too sweet, too heavy, too complicated. I always wondered if it was possible to recreate that clean, milky flavor I remembered — something creamy, lightly sweetened, and naturally satisfying.
Two years ago, I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. For someone who loves dessert, especially softserve, the news was devastating. I didn’t want to give up ice cream, but I believed there had to be a better way: flavor without excess sugar, creaminess without compromise, joy without guilt.
After years of research, determination, and passion, I found Valley Ford Creamery, a small, family-run dairy farm near Petaluma, California. When I visited the farm and saw the cows — calm, cared for, and pasture-raised — something felt familiar. My father owns a large ranch in Mongolia, so I understand deeply that milk only nourishes us when the cows live peaceful, stress-free lives. That shared philosophy is what brought us together. Valley Ford believed in my vision, and together, we created Buenas: soft serve made the way it should be — with clean ingredients, lower sugar, and milk from cows that are truly respected.
And because soft serve should be served with something just as special, we also make our fresh cones in-house every day. Crisp, fragrant, and handcrafted to pair perfectly with our soft serve, these cones elevate the experience and celebrate the playful, nostalgic spirit of ice cream
